Sticky Strategy for Cashable Bonuses
The following advanced level strategy is only recommended for those with a very high risk tolerance, as well a substantial bankroll. The main purpose of the strategy is to increase players’ long term expected profit per bonus, while also greatly increasing players profit per hour expectations. The tradeoff, as always, is a marked increase in variance (risk). For this reason, this is not for the timid or meek, and definitely not applicable to those with very little tolerance for added risk. In my opinion, the best time to implement this strategy for those that meet the risk tolerance and bankroll criteria is for fully cashable bonuses with higher than average wager requirements.
The following example strategy assumes a 100% fully cashable bonus on a $200 deposit with 40x(D+B) WR. The players starting bankroll will then be $400, with a $16,000 WR.
As the strategies names entails, we will be following a strategy very similar to the one I recommend for sticky type I bonuses. Before going any further, please familiarize yourself with this strategy.
Players should set a target amount just like with a sticky type I bonus and then set their bet amount at between 10%-30% of their entire bankroll, depending on how high a target they set. You can be a little more conservative with your target amounts that with a sticky bonus, as you get the added reward of being able to cashout the bonus those times that you do hit your target. Personally, I would set my target to 2x(D+B) for this example, or $800 total. I like to set my bet amounts so I need to be up around 10 total bets in order to hit my target. So for this example, I would set my bet amounts to $40.
Once you have set your target and bet amounts, you will begin play. If you are able to hit your target, regardless of where you stand in regards to meeting the WR, you will drop your bets down to your normal bet size (maybe $5-$10) and grind out the rest of the remaining WR thus virtually locking in a healthy profit. Ideally, you will already have completed the WR or come real close by the time you hit your target.
For those times that you do not reach the target, you will hopefully have not wasted a whole lot of time on the effort, thus increasing your long term profit per hour. Likewise, you gain the added benefit of wagering less on a game with a negative longrun expectation. This actually has the added benefit of lowering the overall HA of the game, as the times you lose, you will have wagered less at a game that has approximately a .05% HA. This also will help increase your long-term EV.
Also, by following this strategy, you give yourself the opportunity to maximize the leverage offered by using the casinos bonus. If you are on a bad run, you will lose your deposit and bonus, but only up to the amount of the deposit plus the bonus regardless of how bad the run is. However, if you get hot, your potential profit is capped only by the amount of your set target. This creates a situation where you can really maximize your profit when you are hot, while minimizing your potential losses to the amount of your deposit plus bonus.
One final aspect of this strategy that I find useful is that it helps players avoid going on tilt. You have a set target and bet size that you have locked yourself into playing. If you lose, you lose and it wont be because you lacked the discipline to play the bonus properly. If you are able to hit your target, then assuming you have the discipline to follow the strategy, you won’t get greedy and risk losing your already realized profits. You will drop your bets down and lock in your nice profit.
