Casino Bonus Definitions & Terminology
Wager Requirement (WR)
The Wager requirement, or WR, is the amount of wagers a player must make before they are eligible to make a withdrawal. The amount of wagers required is generally stated in terms of how many times the deposit and bonus must be wagered. For example, a $100 deposit gets a $100 bonus with a WR of 10 times the deposit plus the bonus 10x(D+B). So the player would have to wager $2,000 before they can cashout. Remember that all wagers, winners and losers, count towards the total amount required.
Comp Points (Loyalty Points, Comps)
Many casinos offer players a comp point program, in which points are awarded for every bet the player makes in the casino. Generally, 1 comp point is awarded for every $10 wagered. These comp points can then be converted to cash usually at a rate of $1 for every 100 comp points accumulated. Comp points also serve as a valuable tool in tracking your wager requirement (WR), as you can see how much you have wagered by the amount of comp points you have.
